Job Description
About the Role
The Senior People and Culture Business Partner plays a pivotal role in delivering our People, Culture and Safety agenda. This is a true partnering position — providing strategic insight, expert advice and operational leadership across the full employee lifecycle, while strengthening organisational capability and compliance.
Reporting to the Business Manager, People and Safety, you will work closely with Leaders and Executives to implement initiatives aligned to the People and Culture Strategy and Operational Plan, ensuring alignment with the EverAbility Group’s Strategic Intention.
This role is instrumental in fostering a positive, inclusive and high-performing workplace culture, while ensuring compliance with employment and safety legislation. You will also lead EverAbility’s WHS Committee and champion a proactive culture of safety and values-led behaviours across all levels of the organisation.
Key responsibilities include, but is not limited to:
Contribute to the development and execution of the People and Culture Strategy and Operational Plan.
Provide expert advice on employee relations, industrial relations and workplace health and safety matters, ensuring legislative compliance and best practice.
Support Enterprise Agreement processes, including bargaining preparation, communication and lodgement.
Lead and facilitate the Workplace Health & Safety Committee and drive continuous improvement in safety performance and culture.
Develop, review and enhance HR and WHS policies, procedures and systems.
Monitor legislative developments in IR and WHS, providing timely guidance and implementation support.
Support performance review, development and succession planning processes.
Provide and support the effective HR operations across the employee lifecycle, ensuring efficient and compliant administration.
Desired Skills and Experience
About You
You are an experienced and trusted HR professional with strong generalist capability, have a passion for building safe, purpose and values-led workplaces. Key requirements include:
Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
Demonstrated experience in a senior generalist HR and WHS advisory or business partnering role.
Strong knowledge of contemporary HR practices, employment law, industrial relations and WHS legislation.
Proven experience developing and improving HR and WHS systems, policies and procedures.
Confidence advising leaders on complex people and safety matters.
Highly developed communication, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills.
Ability to work autonomously while contributing positively to a collaborative team.
Strong organisational capability with the ability to manage competing priorities.
Experience administering HRIS platforms and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
