VisAbility - our specialised service supporting people with low or no vision.

Guide Dogs WA and Guide Dogs Tasmania – our iconic service raising and training life changing assistance dogs.

Kites Children’s Therapy – our early intervention support, advice and solutions service transforming the lives of children and their families living with disability or developmental challenges.

Job Description

About the Role:

No two days are the same! You'll coordinate lively activity programs, support a dedicated team of Activity Officers, and make sure our clients enjoy meaningful, engaging experiences. From organising rosters and events to welcoming new clients and supporting volunteers, you’ll be at the heart of our vibrant Community Activity Centre.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and develop Community Activity Centre groups and operations, including program scheduling, activity planning, and staff rostering.
  • Provide effective line management and supervision to Activity Centre staff.
  • Manage staff leave requests and participate in performance review processes.
  • Collaborate with the Client Experience Team to allocate clients to suitable programs.
  • Oversee volunteer involvement and coordinate induction processes with HR.
  • Keep up to date with disability and aged care funding reforms and apply required changes to service delivery.
  • Monitor and update activity attendance, pricing structures and communicate impacts to clients.
  • Develop, manage and monitor budgets to ensure sustainable service delivery.
  • Manage governance requirements including incident reporting, consumer feedback and complaints.
  • Prepare operational reports, including financial and service delivery metrics.
  • Contribute to special project funding applications and grant submissions.
  • Promote programs and events in collaboration with the Marketing team.
  • Engage in continuous improvement and clinical governance activities.
  • Support WHS initiatives and contribute to EverAbility's process improvement system.
  • Undertake other duties as required within the scope of the role.

 

Desired Skills and Experience

Essential Skills and Attributes:

  • Experience supporting people with disability, ideally in group settings.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with experience supervising staff.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Flexible, resourceful and effective in managing time and competing priorities.
  • Alignment with EverAbility’s mission, values and person-centred philosophy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, email systems and client databases.

Desirable:

  • Awareness of the impact of disability and low vision on individuals.
