Job Description
Join our VisAbility therapy team and play a key role in delivering high-quality, person-centred therapy services that upholds best practices and empowers individuals through tailored support.
Key responsibilities:
The role focuses on delivering high-quality, person-centred therapy services by:
Conducting clinical assessments, developing, implementing, and evaluating individual service plans, including recommending assistive technology.
Ensuring services meet best practices, policies, and contractual requirements.
Staying updated on evidence-based practices and new technologies.
Maintaining accurate records within the Client Management System.
Reporting service-related issues to the Program Manager.
Engaging with VisAbility’s process improvement initiatives.
Supporting the OT profession through mentoring, training, and stakeholder education.
Performing additional duties as needed.
Desired Skills and Experience
Essential:
Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy and AHPRA registration.
Experience in functional assessments, person-centred interventions, and case management.
Ability to work within teams, liaise with stakeholders, and write clear, concise reports.
Confidence in making client-related recommendations independently.
Strong case load management, ability to meet service objectives, and an innovative approach to care.
Understanding of disability, aged care, and relevant legislation, policies, and standards.
Valid police checks, NDIS Working with Vulnerable People Check, and ability to travel for client appointments.
Prior work with adults with disabilities, vision impairment, or acquired brain injury.
Desirable:
Prior work in disability and/or health sectors.
Understanding of NDIS and My Aged Care funding models.
Salary Range: $95,151- $105,987 depending on experience
