Job Description
Are you a dynamic events professional who thrives on creating meaningful experiences that inspire, connect and engage? We’re seeking an Events Officer to join our team and deliver high-impact events that strengthen relationships with donors, clients, staff and the wider community.
This role is central to the delivery of everything from Guide Dog Graduations to expos, donor celebrations, puppy milestones, staff events and client engagement. With no two days the same, you will have the chance to support all areas of the business, to connect us with each other and our community.
You’ll manage end-to-end event delivery – developing budgets and run sheets, coordinating logistics, engaging suppliers and collaborating with our marketing team to ensure every event is professional, inclusive, and strategically aligned with our mission.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, coordinate, and deliver a range of internal and external events.
Develop and manage event budgets, timelines, and logistics.
Provide briefing notes, event speeches and acknowledgements for key management and Executive
Liaise with venues, suppliers, and contractors to secure quality services.
Partner with marketing to promote events through digital and traditional channels.
Support sponsor, donor, and stakeholder engagement before, during, and after events.
Provide reporting and post-event evaluations to measure success and guide improvements
Maintain event records, contracts, and stakeholder data in the CRM.
Develop and maintain an annual events calendar aligned with organisational goals.
Supervise volunteers and support continuous improvement in event processes.
Desired Skills and Experience
Essential Skills and Attributes:
You are an organised and detail-oriented events professional with the confidence to juggle multiple priorities and the creativity to deliver memorable experiences. You have at least 3 years’ experience coordinating events of varying scale and complexity, with strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to work to high professional standards in customer-facing roles.
Qualifications in event coordination, communications, PR, or related field or at least 3 years’ experience in event coordination (ideally in NFP, community, or customer-focused settings).
Proven experience managing diverse events end-to-end.
Strong project management and organisational skillswith the ability to juggle competing deadlines.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and event platforms.
Budget management and contract administration experience.
Creativity, attention to detail, and a solutions-focused mindset.
Desirable:
Experience in not-for-profit, community services, or purpose-driven organisations.
Familiarity with iMIS CRM or similar donor management systems.
Knowledge of accessibility and inclusion considerations in event planning.
