VisAbility - our specialised service supporting people with low or no vision.
Guide Dogs WA and Guide Dogs Tasmania – our iconic service raising and training life changing assistance dogs.
Kites Children’s Therapy – our early intervention support, advice and solutions service transforming the lives of children and their families living with disability or developmental challenges.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
You will work with individuals and families providing assessment, counselling, advocacy, referrals and community education, while collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams.
Provide Social work assessment, intervention and evaluation to allocated clients.
Provide practical and emotional support to clients and their families, in collaboration with and through team members as required.
Facilitate group work programs
Manage a caseload effectively and maintain accurate records
Link clients to community resources and internal services
Advocate on behalf of clients to improve outcomes
Support clients to understand and adjust to vision loss and diagnosed eye conditions
Contribute to community education and awareness activities
Supervise social work students (where eligible)
Maintain client records in the client management system
Perform other duties as reasonably required.

Essential Skills
Tertiary qualification in Social Work
Eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
Understanding of the psychosocial impacts of disability and vision loss
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to apply core social work practice methods
Commitment to inclusion and person‑centred practice
Alignment with EverAbility Group values
Desirable:
Experience in disability, aged care or community services
Knowledge of community resources and service systems
Familiarity with relevant legislation and frameworks
Research or program development experience

☒NDIS Worker Screening Check
☒Registration: Full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers
☒Certificates: Tertiary qualification in Social Work
☒Annual Influenza Vaccination
