Job Description
About the Role:
As a Therapy Assistant, you’ll work alongside experienced allied health professionals, supporting therapy programs that genuinely change lives. This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same — from supporting gym-based programs to assisting clients in the community.
You’ll play a key role in helping adults achieve their goals, while being supported by a collaborative team that values collaboration, accountability, respect and excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
Deliver therapy interventions and programs under the direction and supervision of allied health professionals within client’s homes, at VisAbility and in the community.
Assisting with gym-based therapy programs, individual and group sessions
Preparing, setting up and packing down therapy activities and equipment
Creating and maintaining therapy resources (including printing, laminating and equipment care)
Provide administrative support to allied health staff
Maintain accurate and confidential client records within the Client Management System
Contribute to continuous improvement, feedback and process development
Desired Skills and Experience
Essential Skills and Attributes:
You will bring a positive attitude, strong teamwork skills, and a genuine passion for supporting people with disabilities. To succeed in this role, you’ll need:
Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance (or equivalent)
Previous experience in a disability, therapy or community services environment
Experience working in a gym setting
Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
A collaborative, flexible and adaptable approach to teamwork
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
A professional and confidential mindset
Confidence working with a diverse range of clients
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience using database systems
A current driver’s licence and the ability to travel between locations

Working with Children Check
Valid Driver’s Licence
First Aid Certificate
Annual Influenza Vaccination
